Management goals

The investment universe includes all the equity funds in the Cardif ELITE fund, i.e. 638 funds. From this basket, Colibri AM, favouring a bottom-up approach, first divides the funds according to their geographical focus. Thus, five zones are identified: North America, Europe, International, Developed Asia-Pacific and Emerging Markets. Colibri AM then ranks the funds in each zone according to profitability indicators (absolute performance, relative performance and performance according to risk taken), but also risk indicators (volatility, analysis of downturns and downside risk ratios). Once these filters have been applied and a ranking established, around 20 funds per geographical area are pre-selected, i.e. 100 funds out of the 638 initially selected. Then, the transparency criterion is taken into account; in other words, all the selected funds that do not disclose all their positions are simply excluded because it will not be possible to give them an ESG rating. Finally, the remaining funds (around 60 funds) will be analysed according to their correlation from the efficient frontier in order to ensure the most diversified allocation and to avoid duplication in terms of market behaviour.
